Understand the guide. Meet the care model.

This guide explains how to read the purpose of a proposed record. It is published by the Miramar practice whose care model is described here.

A focused educational guide from SMILE-FX

SMILE-FX publishes this guide to help readers ask understandable questions about proposed orthodontic records and their review. The three lessons address information roles, individual purpose and reading a completed explanation. They do not interpret scans, choose an examination or determine a treatment plan.

The practice is SMILE-FX Orthodontic & Clear Aligner Studio at 11225 Miramar Pkwy, STE B285, Miramar, FL 33025, telephone (954) 824-9707. It is the one clinic described by this guide.

How the sources are used

FDA, ADA and AAO sources support the narrow educational record distinctions and discussion principles identified in the lessons. They do not endorse this guide or establish what a SMILE-FX consultation includes. The worked conversations are fictional teaching examples, not quotations from a clinician, patient experiences or clinical reports.

Practice descriptions come from SMILE-FX's published information and confirmed practice policies. A practice statement is not an independent audit of credentials, device performance or outcomes. The care model below preserves the individual arrangements and limits alongside the available services.

Use the explanation as a conversation aid

Keep the useful distinction: understanding the general role of a record is different from hearing the individual clinical rationale. Ask the clinician to connect that rationale, existing information and the findings discussion with your actual assessment.

Read the lessons in order or begin with the part you want explained. The in-person consultation request connects you with SMILE-FX; the practice confirms the appointment, proposed workup and fees.

Doctor-led care, from planning through follow-ups

At SMILE-FX, board-certified orthodontists see every patient, including at follow-up visits. Clinical director Dr. Tracy Miao Liang leads a full-service Miramar practice with a digitally driven clear-aligner focus. Your goals, proposed appliance and continuing care belong in an explanation you can understand.

Understand the proposed plan

AI-assisted precision planning supports your orthodontist's work. Before-and-after smile-preview simulations give you a view of proposed changes, so you can point to what you understand or want explained. A simulation illustrates the plan; it is not a promised result.

Low-dose 3D CBCT imaging supports clinical assessment, detection of findings and treatment planning when indicated. The information helps your orthodontist connect the findings with an explanation of the proposed approach.

Stay connected between visits

Smartphone and iPhone monitoring comes standard with braces and aligner plans. You can send progress information from home between visits for clinical review. Remote monitoring also helps flag issues such as broken brackets or aligners that are not tracking, with the clinical team evaluating what needs attention.

With 24/7 access to provider support, you have a contact route when a question or concern arises. Responses are handled through the clinical team's care arrangements, keeping access to support distinct from a promise of an instant reply.

Connect your plan with practical continuing care

SMILE-FX makes in-house 3D-printed aligners and offers same-day aligner and retainer options. That connects doctor-led planning with a local fabrication route. Your prescribed appliance and individual arrangements determine which option is used.

For continuing care, SMILE-FX can ship course-correction aligners to your home. Rescue aligner care provides a doctor-led route for people seeking help with a prior aligner course. Course corrections and Rescue arrangements are set individually alongside the clinical plan.

Custom 3D-printed bracket options are also part of the practice's range. Their off-site manufacturing is separate from local aligner and retainer fabrication, so the appliance and its production route stay clear in your discussion.

Understand your options and included care

SMILE-FX offers Invisalign and OrthoFX, including AirFlex, alongside night-time aligner options. The range gives you specific choices to discuss, while your orthodontist determines the system and wear instructions for your individual plan. Commercial systems and in-house appliances have their own production routes.

Fixed and removable retainers plus whitening are included at SMILE-FX. These benefits belong in the full treatment conversation and written proposal, alongside the active appliance and continuing-care arrangements.

At-home and in-office whitening options give a separate color goal its own place in planning. The appropriate method and personal arrangements are decided individually; the availability of both modes does not mean every person receives both.
